David is proud to call Bloomington and Monroe County home. He knows we can rise to the challenge of funding our values as we work to replace aging infrastructure, resolve housing insecurity, and confront income inequality that puts our community’s vitality at risk. As the late Senator Paul Wellstone taught us, “We all do better when we all do better.” And we do better when we raise up the dignity of labor in and out of government service, create possibilities for opportunity, and assert equality and inclusion at our common table now and for the future.
David listens. His life-long passion for civic leadership leads him to run for office today.

David is running to get stuff done. He knows that County Council is more than just a fiscal control board. David believes that County Council makes smart policy happen through good budgets and strong collaboration with county, town, township, and city governments.
While County Council’s role in Indiana Government is to review fiscal matters, determine proper policy, and set priorities for the allocation and expenditure of county funds, David believes good stewardship starts with good leadership. David looks forward to working with the next Council, Commission, and municipal and community partners to fund our values.
